I was very fortunate to have a lovely trip to Glendalough and Bray with some fantastic students (and group leaders). We were blessed with the weather, it was warm and it didn’t rain. Woohooo. The Students enjoyed a relaxing walk to the upper lake and got to have their lunch sitting on the grass by … Continue reading
Just 20 minutes by tube outside of London’s bustling city centre lies the impressive town of ; a place of major sporting events, exciting concerts, and this summer home to over 600 international students.
Groups from Italy, Russia and Serbia have enjoyed six weeks in the glorious sunshine accompanied by hard working and enthusiastic MLI staff led by Louise and Maika. The facilities provided by the College of North West London and Preston Manner School ensured the smooth running of daytime classes and night-time activities. Many an evening was spent in the fading sun partaking in sports, watching films, hunting for treasure or bopping at the disco; where sweethearts met, friends were made and Activity Leaders showed off their dancing skills!
The prime location of our Wembley home was ideal for the all-important group excursions this summer. Many of our groups enjoyed days out to Brighton, Stonehenge and Oxford, taking in the scenery and heritage of the area. Other popular excursions such as the Tate Modern Art Gallery and the Natural History Museum provided our students with cultural enrichment and the central location of these venues allowed for the essential free time to partake in some retail therapy. Whether the choice shopping setting was the illustrious halls of Harrods or the bright lights of Primark, London catered for all our students’ needs.
As the summer draws to a close, the equipment put away and suitcases packed to return home our thoughts remain with the wonderful people we have met this summer. Wembley has provided a base for us this year, but it has been the students, staff and leaders that have made it a home. Thank you to everyone who was part of this unforgettable summer of 2013.
Now let’s make summer 2014 in Wembley even better! See you there?

The MLI UK centre in Lancaster has closed already after four brilliant weeks (almost all of which were spent under glorious sunshine!) but the memories are still fresh in the minds of those who spent such an enjoyable time with us there this summer.
Our groups from Spain and Italy all had a great time during their stay with us thanks to the lovely weather, the excellent facilities at our self-contained campus at the University of Cumbria, and the really hard work of the MLI staff led by Niall, Risa and Emil.
The excursions from Lancaster were a particular favourite this year. Rosa Gomez’s Spanish group enjoyed days out at places such as Manchester, York, Liverpool and the Lake District, as well as managing to fit in a fun game of bowling, a trip to Manchester City’s stadium, and a whole lot of shopping. Our Italians also enjoyed the same fantastic excursions and I know that they were especially happy to get in some free time at Primarni!
All of our Italian and Spanish students became great friends and got on really well together over the course of the summer and we were very happy to be able to invite some French, Swedish and English children along to some pretty memorable, and emotional, discos.
The inter-country football matches were also a massive hit with the star player definitely being Sofia from Santander whose skills showed us all why she is more used to playing competitive matches against other juniors from Real Madrid and FC Barcelona.
MLI UK’s Lancaster centre was a great success, thoroughly enjoyed by all, and we are already looking forward to making 2014 an even better one. Thank you everybody!
#A Review for your to read about MLI International Schools Ireland
We have had the privilege of having the wonder Rachele working in the MLI Office for the last 8 weeks learning English.. She has been a treasure to have in the office and we will really miss her.. Before she left I asked her to write a few lines about Ireland, I thought I should share it with you all….
A FEW LINES ABOUT IRELAND: A GREAT EXPERIENCE!
First of all, if you can’t stand warm weather anymore, Ireland is the right place for you: here, you’ll find a “gentle wind”, touching your skin lightly, and cool rain, dampening your hair softly.
It’s just in Ireland that you can find 4 seasons in one day…Can you imagine that? You should try it, and challenge yourself! J
– …Actually Ireland has much more qualities:
Here, you’ll find amazing people, kind, interesting and pleasant Irish men and women, who know how to enjoy themselves, and make you feel at home! You’ll come across boys and girls from all over the world: Brazil, France, Italy, Spain, USA, Japan too …!
Loads of great places to see: museums, buildings, parks … and pubs, which are simply amazing! Here you’ll meet new friends, and listen to great Irish music: guitars, violins, harps… just lovely!
– What else?
Wonderful landscapes of course!
Cliffs and hills, beaches and nice villages!
Green everywhere! Not the usual green, but a special one, which I’ll always bring in my heart!
Then, here in Ireland, the day lasts so long, and at 10.30 at night, you’ll still see a delicate light going beyond the horizon…
And if you want to learn or improve you English, Ireland is the best place! People are always available, and they’ll help you understand…sometimes having a laugh! J
– So I think that…
Ireland must be seen at least once in a lifetime!
Let stories, tales, music and fun enthral you!
And remember… Maybe you’ll find your ginger prince, or a ginger princess… and if you’re lucky, you’ll see a goblin hidden in the woods…

Read what previous clients of MLI UK Group had to say about their visit to England and learning English in the birthplace of the English Language ……………….
Dear MLI, I hope you are keeping well. I write you because I want to say to you thanks for everything. Our team’s experience in Lancaster was brilliant. All ran perfectly. This is the place that we wanted for our students: comfortable and not too big, nice landscape and the most important: mixed nationalities and warm and friendly staff.
Our teachers in Lancaster created a blog where they and students posted texts and photos and parents or other people comments. It’s a nice blog that made parents as if they were in Lancaster. I give you the address in case you want to see the blog. I recommend you to have a look at the last text “thanks for everything” where Sílvia and Montse say thank to all staff. Anyway I would be greatful if you congratulate all the staff in behalf of Catalan team. http://discoveringlancaster.blogspot.com/ Sylvia and Montse, Barcelona

Our trip to Lancaster is over.
We just want to say that we all had a great experience. We’ve met many new people, we’ve made really good friends and we’ve practiced English a lot!
Silvia and I want to congratulate students for their good behaviour, they’ve made the most of all the activities and we feel proud of our Catalan group of students.
We also want to say thank you to all MLI staff in Lancaster: Tom for his help and good organization, Niall for his great effort to arrange groups and levels, Giuseppe for his sport activities at any time, Emil and Jon for making us laugh so much, Susan, Annie and Monika for their nice and friendly character and Mark for his music!
We’ll have University of Cumbria in our heart forever!
